WILLEY FINDS A HOME
Another happy story from the world of C.A.R.E. A black lab mix with a sweet personality has been adopted by a family who have been looking for a while to add a new member to the family.

Thanks for visiting the Cantu Animal Rescue Effort (C.A.R.E.) Blog
We are a group of concerned citizens living in the Punta Banda area (about 1/2 hour
south of Ensenada) in Baja California North. We are all volunteers and 100% of the
donations we receive are for the care of rescues including their shelter, feeding,
medical treatments and adoption expenses. CARE vaccinates and sterilizes all animals
prior to putting them up for adoption if they are of age. We work with some wonderful
local vets that give us steep discounts for their services.
CARE operates a small shelter where we temporarily house dogs, cats and our horse.
We call it CARE HOUSE. When a member of our group finds an animal in need of
care, they first take it to a vet for a preliminary check-up. The animal is not housed in
CARE HOUSE until the vet has cleared it for any contagious diseases and parasites.
They are treated for parasites, fleas and ticks. They are then kept at the shelter or at a
foster home until they are adopted. We provide them with the food, shelter and medical
care until they are placed with their new owners.
All potential adoptive families are screened to assure the placement is appropriate
for both the animal and family. If an animal does not work out in the adoptive home,
CARE will take the animal back and keep them until another adoptive home can be
found for replacement.
